The whole R8 series has gone through an evolution on the outside and revolution on the inside. The idea behind the new makeover is to make the former R8 even more beautiful, powerful, aggressive and exhilarating to drive. The face-lifted Audi R8 Plus has been officially revealed on the web and it is going to be the successor of
former Audi R8 series. Yeah, You heard it right. Audi did a remarkable job with designing and that is why the all new 2013 Audi R8 is more attractive as well as dynamic. R8 V10 Plus (550hp) is going to be the top
model in the current Audi R8 lineup. Refreshed 7-speed S-Tronic
transmission has been placed under the hood. Renovated LED headlights and LED rear lights are equipped with dynamicized display and this feature will come as standard in all Audi R8 variants. Talking about the exteriors,
2013 Audi R8 Plus is 14.44 ft long,
6.23 ft wide and 4.10 ft high (4.07 ft in case of Spyder). Dynamic lines have been well laid as well detailed. The single frame grill comes in high gloss black finish and it has horizontal chrome inserts in V10 variant. Air inlets, at the front bumper, have gone through minor changes. Extensive use of LEDs can bee seen as headlights are now full LED and there are different LED layers in Headlight for High as well as Low beam. In order to make it as lighter as possible, certain parts of the new Audi R8 are exclusively made from Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) like the splitter at the front bumper, side mirrors, linings on the engine etc.LED lights at the back of R8 Plus
are equipped with next generation LED technology like dynamic display. Indicator Lights in Dynamic display proceeds in the side-ward direction i.e. the direction in which driver wants to take a turn. The larger rear diffuser made up of CFRP comes as standard in Audi R8 V10 Plus. The all new Audi R8 plus comes in 11 Shades in which there are two solid colors i.e Ibis White and Brilliant Red, Five pearl effect shades and four metallic shades. Matt color effect is exclusively available for Audi R8 V10 variants only. The Frame of Audi R8 Plus (Audi Space Frame also known as ASF) weighs only 462.97-476.20 lbs depending on Coupe
or Spyder variants. The Unladen weight of Audi R8 V8 Coupe is 3439.21 lbs plus and Audi R8 V10 Plus is 3461.26 lb. Spyder variants are heavier by 220 lbs.Talking about the Performance,
Audi R8 V8 Coupe with its 4.2
FSI engine churns out max. power of 430 hp @ 7900 rpm and a peak torque of 317.15 lb-ft @ 4500-6500 rpm. Audi R8 V8 Plus shoots from 0-100 Km/h (0-60 mph) within 4.3 seconds and its top speed is limited at 300 km/h. It is also able to give 18.97 US mpg.The V10 Plus Variant unleashes a
max. power of 550 hp @ 8000 rpm and a peak torque of 398.28 lb-ft @ 6500 rpm. Audi R8 V10 Plus Coupe shoots from 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) within 3.5 seconds and its top speed is limited at 317 km/h. It is also able to give 15.79 US mpg.Standard wheels of dimensions
8.5 J x 18 at the front and 10.5 J x 18 at the rear have been equipped in the the Audi R8 V8 . Tyre sizes for V8 plus version are 235/40 at front and 285/35 at rear. The V10 plus version comes with 19-inch wheels as standard (tyre size 235/35/front and 295/30/ rear).Interiors are almost same with several options for leather upholstery as well as inlays.
